I really like this dryer. I’ve used it all season so far and can promise you that if you put your boots and gloves on this dryer before you go to sleep when you wake up everything will be dry. I don’t care how dripping, soppy wet your boots and gloves are they will be dry in the morning. This thing is also bullet proof. There is nothing to go wrong. No moving parts and no noise. Load the rack and turn it on. The heat will not harm your heat molded boot inserts or hi-tech glove linings. One other benefit is that unlike every fan type dryer this will not make your room smell like a warm gym locker. A product that absolutely works and promises to keep on working.

I purchased 5 of these and mounted them in my unheated garage to heat and dry the family’s ski boots after a day of skiing. Even after leaving the product on from 4pm to 8am the following morning the boots never got warm. While they were dry they were a bit cold. i guess the radiant heat these produce isn’t quite hot enough to overcome my garage cold temps. This should work fine for a heated mudroom but not for a colder atmosphere. I’ll have to go with a commercial unit for my particular application.

  3. I always go to Amazon.com to do some reserach before buying an item that I’m not familiar with, so that’s what happened when we needed a shoe dryer.

After reading a lot of reviews on the different boot/shoe dryers I knew that what ever I selected would have to be inside our house and I did NOT want to hear it working, so I bought this unit and it works GREAT and we love it.

DryGuy Thermanator Boot and Shoe Dryer I bought it so I could bring it for my ski trips. It is portable and worked great. The wet boots got dried in a few hours. I also used it to dry gloves.

This drying rack is a nice thing to have. It keeps our shoes and boots warm and dry. Even in dry weather, it’s nice to store shoes you wear a lot on this rack. It drives out the perspiration of daily wear. We keep it on all the time.

    Pros:
Sturdy, industrial feel. This is not made out of curtain-rod gauge tubular steel, this is thick.
Safe. Does not get very hot, no danger of fire or damage to shoes.
    Low power usage.
Wall mountable. I think the best option, takes up less space and no worries of tip-over.
Long holding racks. About 10 inches long, easily holding long rubber boots.
    No noise.
No moving parts to break down.
    No locker-room smell.
Can be used with gloves and hats.

    Cons:
Takes a long time to dry out very wet items, especially if it is in a cold room. This could be a problem if you are in a hurry.
Only four racks, one unit might not be enough for a family because it can take a long time to dry. You need to make it a habit to put another pair on rack when you take a pair off so it will always be drying.
